Dr. Tony Evans, founder and president of The Urban Alternative, can be described as a national leader, philosopher, theologian and social activist. The Urban Alternative impacts urban areas through student and adult programs connecting social programs with faith-based initiatives. As a pastor, Dr. Evans founded and weekly leads a congregation of more than 7,000 at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Tony Evans can be seen and heard daily in over 40 countries through his radio / TV broadcast. Through his public speaking and media appearances, he continues to be a leader on such issues as racial reconciliation and the morality of America.
Personally, Dr. Tony Evans is the husband to Lois, father of 4 children and grandfather of 5. He has served as chaplain to the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and, presently, serves as the chaplain to the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks.
