Ed Morrissey is an extremely knowledgable, credible and persuasive speaker who quite effectively projects sincerity, calmness and approachability to his audiences. Having spoken before hundreds of groups during my career, I have some appreciation for the challenges involved, and I enjoy listening to a speaker who knows how to command and hold his audience's attention while discussing controversial and often complex topics. Folks in the nation's capitol can be brutal to speakers from "Outside the Beltway," but I've watched as Ed charmed and impressed just such a gathering.
